Graphic design portfolio

On the left is the cover of the University Cancer Research Fund 2023 Legislative Report. Navy, Carolina blue, and yellow decorative elements of stripes and diamonds accent a large photo of an older woman with dark, short hair wearing a lab coat and standing behind a counter with scientific bottles. Two interior spreads of the report are also included.
This logo shows the silhouette of a black cat sitting on the branch of a dogwood tree. The cat has the top part of her left ear cut away, which shows that she was trapped, spayed, vaccinated, and released back to where she was found. She wears a pink dogwood flower at her other ear, and dogwoods bloom along the branch. The cat’s tail becomes the cross bar in the lowercase “t”of “Cat” and the top bar on the uppercase “T” of Tales. “Cat Tales” is in black in a soft, rounded font, with “Rescue NC” below in the same font but in all caps.
Twelve squares show twelve different social media post options, often with placeholder text in place. The posts feature dark and light pink, the Cat Tales Rescue NC logo, and lots of different photos of cats. Different templates are appropriate for sharing different types of information.
Three different report covers are in varying shades of blue with a twisty line graphic in blue or aqua.
A one-page flyer has a navy blue background and a patterned, Carolina blue boarder at top and bottom. Several photos appear within circles, and the main message of the flyer reads, “UNC Visitors Center Welcomes You to Carolina!”
A vertical poster with a black background, a blue line drawing of a train is angled to show it coming quickly forward. Text above and below follows this same perspective. “Murder on the Orient Express” is above the train in yellow-orange, while “Murder. Excitement. Whodunnit is below the train in red. The playmakers red and white logo sits below next to the tagline “We’re saving a seat for you” and a list of the 2023-2024 season’s plays.
A light blue program cover is on the left, with a logo that includes a blue and navy stone wall, and a title that reads, “Universities Studying Slavery.” The facing page shows the conference schedule for Friday, March 17.
Two horizontal spreads of an annual report show photos of different volunteers, families, and board members. Images and numbers make up infographics. The accent color for the top spread is a soft spring green. For the bottom spread it is a soft coral peach in varying shades.
This logo has “Dolman & Calloway Laboratory” in mixed capitals above “For Climate Justice Research” in a smaller version of the same sans-serif font below in all caps. The text is all in black. Above both lines of text is a swirling, twisting wave shape made up of many lines in marine blue.

(The Frank Porter Graham Child Development Center’s 2020 impact report cover shows an Asian boy in a red shirt from above, so he looks upside down to the viewer, smiling while climbing a play structure. The 2021 impact report cover shows a Black girl in a peach shirt and braids happily looking out from between trunks as she climbs a tree. Both reports show the title and FPG logo in a light blue leaf. The interior spread below shows a Hispanic girl in pigtails with her arms wide, standing in front of sunflowers, and a widely grinning white baby girl reaching out her hand, with text wrapping around the photo.)
The interior of a holiday card on a pearlized paper reads, in blue ink, “May the joys of the holiday season bring peace and light to our world” with a small blue dove and the organization signature below. The front of the card, shown flat and standing up so you can see the metallic sheen of the ink, shows a larger version of the same Carolina blue dove, overlapping dark green, navy blue, and plum purple leaf shapes. The overlapping areas show transparency, making new colors.

This logo shows the world “Triangle” in a dark teal script font, with “CBT-I” below in all caps navy letters with triangular serifs. A blue-gray crescent moon is to the upper right with three lighter blue stars represented by swoopy diamond shapes in a mid-century modern style.
On the top right is part of the report cover. The background is rust orange and purple stripes of different widths and levels of brightness. On the bottom left is a round photograph of a Black mother and son where she is crouched down, holding his hand. To the right is the bottom part of an interior page, which shows text, a side headline, and another round photo. This one is of two young Black girls in a red playground tube. On the lower left is part of a page showing two colorful bar charts, while on the lower right is a page that has a white pull quote reversed out of a dark purple circle. The pull quote reads: “Racism. The historical and contemporary trauma and grief that is occurring is overwhelming. Add that on top of a pandemic when I cannot use my regular outlets to center myself (gym, hang out with friends, etc.). It is exhausting.” and is attributed to Black Parent.
This logo shows “Deck the Halls” in an all caps, hand-lettered dark green serif font, with the word “with” in a smaller font, and then “Claire and Carley” in a grass green color in a handwritten cursive-style script. A curved, leafy branch with dark green berries swoops overhead, while an evergreen stalk curves in from the right, with a hand-drawn star between the two plants.
At the upper left is a PowerPoint slide with a top and bottom border with rows of orange, yellow, light aqua, light purple, and dark purple squares. This logo has “CJ’s Cupboard” with CJ’s larger and above Cupboard. The font is a rounded, sans serif font and is in black against a lime green banner with a round top. Above the banner is a stylized pink cup of ramen with a darker pink circle and wiggly noodles, a box of macaroni and cheese in light blue and orange, and a light blue mug with a white heart on it.

At the top of this photograph is an unfolded trifold brochure. Various printed pieces include a square booklet; a large, vertical brochure; and a folding information card. Orange, purple, red, Carolina blue, and green colors and swooping shapes complement photos of smiling children.

Conference materials for UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Law’s Center for Civil Rights use Carolina blue and a soft, clear grass green. A photograph of a young African-American boy saluting is prominent, with a quote from Martin Luther King, Jr. and conference information also pictured.
